deviantART accounts prove to be a fantastic way for members to show off their art to each other, and provides an extra area for them to communicate offsite in an appropriate manner. These types of groups have worked well in the past, and if somebody continuously maintains it and keeps it clean/updated, I vote yes!

I do not use DA myself, but definitely approve of those who do participating in an AFT DA group.
